Welcome to Chongqing. Your guide and driver will meet you in your hotel lobby at the time you choose. The day begins with a visit to Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street. After seeing the iconic monument, you will stroll to the nearby “Bayi Food Street” (八一好吃街) and grab a paper bowl of Hot and Sour Sweet Potato Noodles (Suan La Fen).
Continue to the Yangtze River Cableway for a quick, scenic ride across the water. From the cable car, you will see boats moving below and overlook the entire city.
Next, head to Hongya Cave, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Here, you can wander through its multi-level stilted buildings, browse local shops, and admire the evening lights reflecting on the Jialing River before returning to your hotel. -
After breakfast, your guide and driver will drive you to the UNESCO-listed Dazu Rock Carvings (≈1.5hr journey). Start with the Baoding Mountain Carvings, home to the intricate “Thousand-Hand Guanyin” and other Buddhist masterpieces. Your guide will bring the stone walls to life, explaining the intricate stories of the Wheel of Reincarnation and daily life in the Song Dynasty.
You can enjoy the site at your own pace. We will drive you back to downtown Chongqing later in the afternoon, leaving the rest of the day free for your own leisure. -
Your final day offers a relaxed exploration of several signature Chongqing landmarks. You will begin at the Three Gorges Museum, seeing the massive scale of the river migration.
Then, you can admire the People’s Assembly Hall. With its green tiled roofs and red columns, it looks just like the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.
Continue to Liziba Metro Station, where the train famously passes through a residential building—a uniquely Chongqing scene.
Finally, you will visit Ciqikou Ancient Town, a lively historic district filled with local snacks (Chen Mahua), teahouses, and local craftsmanship.
After your visit, your private chauffeur will transfer you comfortably to Chongqing Jiangbei Airport, ensuring a smooth and timely departure.
